Thanks Alysia!

I know this posting is a little late but I just wanted to say thanks to my cute friend Alysia. She is so sweet. For my birthday she remembered that I had been wanting a
cake stand. Not only did she find one that she knew I would LOVE, she brought me some of the yummiest cupcakes I have ever eaten from a cute little retro bakery. It's so nice to have a friend that appreciates cake/cupcakes as much as I do! Thanks for being such a great friend Alysia. I am really going to miss you!

Childrens Museum

Last week me and some of my friends took our girls to the Lieds Childrens Museum. It took up a big chunk of our day but it was time well spent! The girls had a great time and there was a lot for the kids to do. I felt like they were learning a lot as well, I know I was! Some of the highlights were, the hurricane simulator, the shadow freeze (this one was my favorite. I got made fun because I kept dragging the kids in it to do it with me...so fun!), the humongous bubble blower, the mini grocery store and the performing stage to which the girls had all to themselves. For any one looking for something fun and educational for their kids, I would definitely recommend it!

WE HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!

Jason and I have a big announcement...We aren't EXPECTING!!

O.K. that isn't really our announcement. WE ARE MOVING!!! We are very very excited to be heading back to Utah to be close to family. I will admit, this move has been harder on me than I would have ever imagined three years ago when we moved here from lush green Washington to this brown desert. But since moving here we have met many amazing people and made some of our best friends. Jason was offered a job in Logan with a law firm that he is excited to join and we are anxious to start life in Logan. It is kind of crazy heading back to where we are both from. In the 6+ years we have been married, we have only lived in Utah for a couple of months. After we were married and one summer during law school while Jas clerked at Bearnson and Peck, the law firm he will be working for.
I will admit, I have gotten spoiled by the nice Vegas winters and don't know if I can handle the Cache Valley snow! I know that with the support of familyand friends I will be able to get through them! (and the fact that my good friend Melisa is adding on to her house so that I have a winter retreat here in Vegas)!
Seriously though, I really feel so blessed to have such a great job opportunity given to Jas and one that is so close to our families. The girls have never lived close to their grandparents and cousins and I know that they really miss them! And so it's back to Utah we go. We will be there at the end of May. I will be excited to catch up with those of you locals. I have to admit that I am use to doing something everyday down here in Vegas. Partly just because there's always something to do. Partly because I have ADD and have to constantly be doing something and partly because of my good friends that have become my family here find something at least every other day to get together for. And so friends...beware. I am going to be wanting to do something everyday! Viva Cache Valley!

Spring break!

This past week was my nephews spring break and they wanted nothing more than to come see their favorite aunt and spend some time in the nice warm Vegas sun! Macy & Kate loves their cousins and we had a blast with them. We stayed pretty busy. I have posted a few...o.k. a load of pictures from spring break. We hung out at the pool which seemed to be the biggest hit. Taylor found a ladybug for Kate to which she tortured and played with for probably 20 minutes (thanks Tay)! Amazingly it was still alive at the end. We hit the mini gran prix one night, the shark aquarium, FAO Shwartz and shopping at Ceasars Palace, the M&M factory, some hiking up (around) Lone Mountain, and lots of fun playing with the cousins. We miss you Aunt Alecia, Tay, Dalton, Parker and Landon!

Some highlights...

I just have a couple of highlights from the past couple of weeks that I wanted to share. I have kind of been slacking on the blogging thing lately and have so many things that I am so excited about that I just thought I would throw them all together in one post! Here goes...

First and foremost I must say that my Thursdays are now complete. I no longer go throughout my entire week thinking to myself "I know I have something Thursday night, what is it?!" because... THE OFFICE IS BACK!!!!!!! I know it is really pathetic that I plan my whole week around Thursday night but anyone who is an "Office watcher" will agree. I could watch it over and over and continue to laugh at the same line I laughed at while watching it 5 minutes before! I can just say "Dwight" and start laughing!

Second, we are a binky free home! My Katers gave it up! Some may wonder why this is a good thing and I was one of those people for the first week! It is exciting because she LOVED her binky(s)and I was beginning to wonder if she would have permanent teeth damage from her obsession with her binks. She was usually seen with one in her mouth and in each hand . It all happened when we lost our last 2 in the same day. I was frantically looking around the house, in the cars, the strollers...everywhere because I knew what would happen if I didn't find her beloved binky's. To my surprise she went down great and continued to do so for the next few days and nights. The only problem was the whining right around dinner time, when I would usually plug her binky in her mouth. It was a bit rough for me for a while but now we are both use to no Binky and it is great!

Third, while watching "American Idol" I saw the previews for my second favorite show in the whole world, "So You think You Can Dance"! I am sooo anxious for this one to start which is perfect timing because it starts as soon as "A.I." ends! (I really don't base my happiness around what's on T.V....PROMISE!) For anyone who has never seen this show, watch it once and you will be hooked! I like it better than "A.I"

I will add one more and then be done. Kate said the bedtime prayer the other night all by herself! It was so sweet and you could even tell what she was saying (most of the time). It went a little bit like this. "Heavanee Fada, thanks for day. Tanku, salkdjfkjwi. Tanku alkjdfkj . Tanks akdjkfj. Jesus, Amen." It was pretty priceless! My baby's growing up!

Our little gymnast!

We started Kate in Gymnastics this past month and she absolutely LOVES it! Her favorite thing is to hang on the bar. She now hangs on anything that can hold her weight and that allows her to lift her feet off the ground. She does this and then says "I a monkey!"

Wilcock Look-alike Meter

Wilcock Look-alike Meter

I'm not sure how much I agree with the meter on this one. I have always thought that Kate was a mini Jason and no matter how many different pictures I tried, it always said she looked more like me. It even said she did more so than Macy on one of them (16%). Anyone who hasn't done this before try it with your kids and see what you think!

Girls weekend!

Me, Emmie, Aleisha and Lisa
This past weekend me and 3 of my high school/college friends headed to St. George for some crazy fun! We shopped, ate, laughed, ate, shopped, watched movies, ate, lounged by the pool, ate and shopped! What could be better? It was seriously the most relaxing vacation I have been on in a long time. We had so many good laughs and funny moments. It all brought back memories of our spring break in Vegas years ago. Even though my body is still trying to recover...sunburn, not age! It was so much fun! I am already looking forward to our retreat in September! Thanks girlies! (I had other pictures of us at the pool but had to promise not to post those!)
