Madalyn and Eli turn 2!

On the 8th of this month we celebrated a very special day, Madalyn and Eli (my niece and nephew) had their second Birthday. This ended up being quite a big, fun celebration! Madalyn was suppose to be in the hospital feeling yucky on her birthday due to her scheduled stem cell replacement but instead got to home feeling pretty good, even eating more than her usual fish crackers. I decided that we needed to party and party BIG! I told Trish I would take care of all the party planning and that she just needed to invite the guests. The girls and I went out early to decorate and play all day with the birthday kids. It was soo much fun. We played ring around the rosies, hide and seek, Eli and Madalyn both managed to let their balloons go which floated to the top of the vaulted ceilings, Madalyn was walking around and I helped her kick balloons all over and we sang "Happy Birthday to you" over and over again to which the twins would get huge grins and clap their hands when we would say their names. I loved seeing them, but especially Madalyn, so happy. That night the guests showed up for cake and ice cream. I wish I would have taken a picture of how many people were there. So many people came to be apart of the big day!

"Little Purple Panties"

For any of you that love to hear the familiar songs you sang in primary sung by your own children, if you are like me you just have to smile at the familiar tune and words that you sang so many years ago (at least in my case). Well, today while I was getting ready my girls decided they wanted to dress up in their "twirly dresses" and dance around. I put on one of their primary CD's and went about my business. A little while later I hear the tune of a song that I thought my girls would enjoy. I peek my head out and say "Little purple pansies"! Macy acts as if she knows the song and gets all excited. I then watch her start to sing the song but she is singing "Little purple panties" and as she is singing it she has added some pointing out the undies of her and Kate in to her dance moves. It was too cute to correct her on it. I don't know if I will ever be able to listen to the song without thinking of little purple panties!

Christmas morning

Here are a bunch of pictures from our Christmas morning. Besides the fact that I had the flu, it was a very fun and special day. It takes a lot to ruin Christmas...even more than the flu! I didn't get a picture of it but we started a new tradition of having a sleep-over in mom and dads room on Christmas eve. The cutest Christmas nativity ever!

I know I may be a little bit prejudice but I think that this years nativity at Jason's grandma's house was the cutest I have ever seen! This was a big year for Macy because she got to be Mary for the first time and not once but twice! She took her role very seriously and even practiced playing Jesus' mother the week before (making sure we had "swaddling clothes" and everything). This nativity was very special because we had a real life baby Jesus and a group of very cute kids (including three wise women). It was the beginning of a fun tradition at Grandma Jibby's house. Christmas Eve at the Reeds

We had Christmas Eve with my family the weekend before Christmas. Christmas Eve has always been my favoritepart of Christmas. We have acted out the nativity scene for as long

as I can remember. This always brings the spirit and thoughts of the true meaning of Christmas back. It's also tradition to get a new book on Christmas Eve. My mom always makes her homemade toffee that is to die for and all her traditional Christmas foods. My girls always enjoy spending time with their cousins and grandparents.

The girls were so excited to finally get all of their snow clothes so that they could go outside and play in the snow. It was fun for a day, now I'm ready for it to be gone!
