FAO adoption

Anyone who knows Macy and Kate will understand what an amazing and exciting day this was for the girls. I have never known a girl who loves babies (real or dollies) as much as my two girls (including myself). Macy has been asking for an "FAO doll" for as long as I can remember. We decided to let the girls adopt one for their birthdays this year. The whole process is pretty cute. They get to go to the nursery, look through the glass at which baby (style) they want and go through the process which includes sitting down in the rocking chair where the "nurse" brings them the baby, asks them some questions about what they are going to do with their baby and then writes down the baby's name and has he parent (child) sign their name. We went straight to FAO toy store on the way home from Disneyland. This was of course the ultimate for the girls. It was such a fun thing to watch. You would have thought it was a real baby! finally...

I finally got some of the pictures to work. I still have all of the Cali trip, Macy's birthday and the adoption at FAO. Here are a just a few of what we have been up to. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday to my 2 best buds!!

Macy and Kate both celebrated their birthdays in August. Macy's was on August 12th and Kate's was 4 days later, August 16th. We were in California that week, clelbrating Macy's big day at Disneyland. Even though this post is almost 1 month late, i figure it is never too late to tell these two how much I love them. They are my joy and my life is so much better with them in it. Thank you Macy and Kate for being my bestest buddies in the whole world. I love you sooo much! My two girls with their two girlson Kates birthday. They adopted these babies the day before at FAO Shwartz toy store (more pictures and story from that later...)

They make mom so happy (most of the time!)
My birthday girl!

Always has her baby

Blowing out the candles on the the lovely b-day cakes mom made. We had been in Cali all week...give me a break on the cakes! Macy wanted a wand and Kate just wanted something with Winnie the Pooh.
I should have put Kate in something cute but she just wanted her jammies...it was her day!
My other b-day girl telling grandma all about California!

First day or Kindergarten!

Macy started her first day of kindergarten on August 24, 2009 at Eileen Conners Elementary. You can see by her ear to ear grin, she was pretty excited! Here are a few pictures.

We copied my sisters tradition of making cupcakes with school buses made out of wafer cookies. The girls loved them and it was a fun memory in the making that we will have for every time the kids start school!

Happy Birthday anyways!!

Saying goodbye to our angel girl

I am so grateful for the time my girls and I have had to spend with Madalyn over the past year. I truly believe we were brought back to Utah to be able to help Trish and to have the blessing of getting to know this sweet little girl before her time here on earth was up. I love this little girl so much and I am going to miss her beautiful smile.
The girls and I were able to spend the day with Madalyn the day before she died. It was a day I will never forget. I loved just laying with her, talking to her and remembering our better days together. She truly is our little angel. I got this picture of Kate talking to Madalyn. I love knowing that they will always have those memories of this past year with her.

Happy Birthday America!

For the first time ever, we weren't in Utah for the 4th of July. We decided to take advantage of all that Vegas had to offer on the 4th. That morning we went to one of the best parades I've ever been to! The girls loved it and it felt patriotic at the same time. After that we took advantage of free pool day in Vegas. After that we headed to Boulder City for some food and fireworks. Heading back in to the city we could see about seven different firework shows going on. When we got home we had our own fireworks show going on right out our window. It was a really fun 4th of July! Soakin up the Vegas sun!

Halloween in July

My girls love going out to their cousins house. They always find fun stuff to do. They came upstairs looking like this...apparently they found the costume box!

pictures

The day before we left for Vegas, all of Jason's siblings
were able to get together (we were missing Carol and Paul). We made an attempt at getting
some family/cousin pictures done. Here are a few.
(I will have to post the picture of the entire family when I get one).
