I first of all just want to say thank you to all of you who wished me a Happy Birthday. It was very sweet of you and it helped my turning the big 3-0 a lot nicer! I can honestly say that my husband made sure that my 30
th birthday was the best birthday I have had in my adult life! My sweet hubby did an awesome job at making sure I felt special and pampered. And also may I just say that he gave me way too much credit in all the things that he said. I just love him and I love the fact that he has officially blogged!! Thanks for making me cry babe! So for those of you who care to read about all the other things he did, here goes.
The day started with me surprisingly getting to sleep in until 9 o'clock! I don't think that that part was planned but it was great! I could hear Macy and
Jas upstairs banging around and went up to find
Jas following a recipe, making me "feather light pancakes". Macy was helping of course and as proud as ever! As we ate breakfast together
Jas brought me a card with a spa package inside that included: a 1 hour massage, a 1/2 hour facial, a pedicure and a manicure and it was
all scheduled for that day! I was
soo excited. And so after being waited on at breakfast and showered and then headed in to town for my 4 hour excursion. It was so so nice. I could have ended the
birthday right there and been fine. I could have cared less if I was turning 50...o.k. maybe not really but I felt awesome and did not even think about the number 30 that day!
So after coming home I was greeted by my two little anxious girls who had spent that time making me even
more birthday cards and wrapping my presents. They were dying for me to open what they had picked out for me. They were both so cute and proud of the
Claires jewelry they had picked out and honestly they did pretty darn good for being 4 and 2! Thanks Macy and
Katers!
While still enjoying the excitement of my kiddos
Jas told me I needed to go get ready because we were going to dinner. He took me to the yummiest, funnest little quaint
restaurant calledLa None. Neither one of us had eaten there before and he thought it would be a fun place to try for my birthday. He was right! I LOVED it from the moment I stepped in. It is the cutest little old house turned in to a restaurant and you suddenly feel like you are in some little village in Europe somewhere. I Loved it! (did I say that already? So after the yummiest
Mahi Mahi I've ever had we headed over to Bear Lake to spend the night at his parents cabin. Yeah it was a pretty
amazing Birthday and I owe it all to my sweet
Jas. Thanks babe. I loved it all!
And...it
doesn't end there.
Jas had already told me that my "big" present would be a little bit late which he felt bad about but that I of course was totally fine with (I lam totally fine with stringing out birthdays)! so he asked me if I wanted him to tell me or if I wanted to wait. I told him that I wanted to wait. He then informed me that I would probably find out what it was before I got it because a lot of people knew what it was. I figured he probably just meant Macy, Kate, my sisters. Little did I know that since the beginning of March my amazing husband had been working on compiling letters and pictures from friends and family to put a book together for me. I just got it today and have not been able to even make it through the whole thing because I keep getting so teary that I can't read it. So
thank you to all of you who joined in making this the most amazing and special gift ever. I
LOVE it and will cherish the things that have been written in there. You were all so generous in your thoughts and although they may not all be true, I thank you for taking the time to help
Jas make me the
best gift ever! And thanks again
sweetie for making my day the best and for this special gift.
