"Curious Georgetta"

Macy keeps us going all day long! She is so full of questioins and comments that make every day new and different! She cracks us up with the things she says and the questions she asks. EVERYTHING leads to a question with her, which makes it a little tricky for mom sometimes. Half the things I don't have an answer and the other half...no one has an answer to! Here is an example of a conversation Jas and I were having the other day about a partner at a Law firm that Jas had lunch with back in Utah.
Macy: "What's his name?" (Fred) "Does he have babies?" (No he's older) "Does he have a little girl?" (see previous answer) "Is he a grandpa?" (probably) "What's his little girls name?" (we make up a name) "Does she have babies?" (probably) "What are her babies names?"
And that is how it goes until we change the subject and then...the questions begin again! Sometimes in the middle of the day I will stop and try to remember the last time myself or Macy were not talking! She turns everything into a learning experience, for herself and mom! I had to post this picture because her very favorite things to eat are "Morshmallows" or "Mellows" ie; Marshmallow Mateys.

"Hit the road Jack"

Jack and Kate on a frog ride. Looks like Kate is giving some unwanted driving tips!

"Miss Magoo"

Kate shows us something new everyday. Whether its something she's saying or something funny she's doing. We don't know if it's just a phase or if she is taking after big sis. but she already LOVES babies! Her 3 favorite things are her blankie, binkie, and babies. She's got them all down too- "bebe, bebe, and bebe". She recently got over her toothbrush fetish which I'm a little releived about. I think I bought more toothbrushes in the last 4 months than I have my entire life. Kate always had a toothbrush in her hand..which meant they went everywhere...which meant we would use them about once and need a new one! Now she has moved on to shoes (hopefully it to is just a phase or we could be in trouble). If there is ever a shoe left out it won't be long before Kate is plopped down next to it trying it on or calling "mama" so that I will come help her put it on. She is very into guesturing and cracks us up with the things she does/says. The other day I was lotioning her up. Just as I put it away Kate goes "Mom!" and holds out her hand for some lotion. You never have to worry about washing your hands alone either, Kate will be right there holding out her hand to join you. She is at such a fun age where she is learning and doing so many new things. My favorite things she says are "mom!", Elmo- "Amo" (She holds out the "o" forever), "whoa"(which always sounds like the most exciting thing ever is about to happen), and my favorite-Macy which is "Mamee' and she calls for her all the time. She is our little bug and it makes me sad how fast she is growing up.

The Mail Man

One of the great things about Vegas is the diversity. There are so many different races and ethnicities and our little inquisitive Macy is noticing it everywhere! She has made some funny comments lately that I thought I would share. The first one happened a couple of weeks ago when we were heading to the doctor's office. Our previous pediatrician was black. Macy had never made any comments about it before but when we were on our way to the doctor Macy asked "What color is Dr. Plaire?" Then the other day I was trying to explain to Macy the process of sending something in the mail and that the mailman has to come pick it up and a different mailman delivers it. Apparently she has noticed our Hispanic mailman and the fact that he wears shorts because out of the blue she asks "Does Aunt Jenni know what color her mailman's legs are?"

Kate's haircut

Kates big smile is not because of the haircut, it's because of the treat she got during the cut!
Kates new Bob

Coronado Beach

Kate LOVED the ocean. She would sit and watch the water and wait for it to get to her and then she would just sit and splash, and then do it again.
Macy wasn't too sure about the beach at first. She didn't like it last year and she still didn't like it this year. The whole way to the beach she was trying to talk herself into liking it. "We like the waves don't we mom?"
Macy and dad out hunting for shells. Macy spent the whole day looking for shells. We came home with a whole bag full! She ended up really loving the beach once she realized she didn't have to go in the water!
I love this picture! Even though it is blurry it totally captured the moment. They were both out to find the perfect shell. To Macy that meant anything that even resembled a shell. To dad that meant finding the biggest shell possible on Coronado beach. Jas did find a neat sand dollar that we have as a token of the "shell hunt".It's not often that Macy will let you take a picture of her and if she does it usually has to be an action shot, she will not "pose" for the camera. She actually let Jas take this right before we left and I love it of her so I had to post it!
I realized after we left that we didn't get one family picture at the beach. Kate fell asleep soon after we got there and she was so tired I didn't want to wake her. Oh well, we had a great time and we will just have to go back again soon to get that family picture!

San Diego Zoo

Kate LOVED the monkeys. They were so fun to watch. She really enjoyed the zoo.
Macy, Ashlyn and Ally watching the elephants.

Lego Land

These were our favorite. Both us and the Hanseens had so much fun playing these instruments. People were probably entertained just watching us. We got so caught up in "playing" these instruments!
"Um...I think I'm done!"

There were a few rides that Kate could go on. Once we finally did she had a blast! Can you tell??
Who's having more fun here? Macy or dad?
Macy and Ashlyn in one of the millions of Lego made animals at Lego land
Macy and dad before the log ride. Notice the look of excitement on Macys face (or lack there of).
Macys face during the log ride...
This was the scariest ride Macy rode on. Jas was determined to get her on something besides the bumper boats and train rides. She actually still went on more rides with dad after this one!
It was a fun day!
