Macy has been very interested in Santa this year. Constant questions! As I mentioned in my earlier post, we visited Santa at the Mantua lights. We had explained to Macy that Santa has helpers all over because he can't be everywhere for the children to sit on his lap and he needs helpers to let him know how the children are and what they are asking for. After waiting patiently and very intently she sat on this particular santas lap, warmed her hands by the fire, told him what she wanted and listened as he told her what she needed to continue to do throughout the year. Immediately after getting in the car the questions began.

Macy: Mom, was that the real Santa?

Mom: I'm not sure. He did know that the girl in front of you needed to clean up her room!

Macy: I think it was him. I could see it in his eyes. It was magical!

Last week I was cleaning up in the kitchen with my girls. Out of nowhere Macy asks this question:

Macy: Mom, do you know what would be the scariest thing in the world?!

Me: No Macy I don't! What would be the scariest thing in the world?

Macy: If a monster was coming after you!!

Without skipping a beat my little Kater pipes in with:

Kate: You just say a prayer and Jesus will save you from da monster!

I of course get all excited and make a big deal over Kate's sweet little comment and the pure innocence and faith in Jesus saving you from monsters and so she continues and just keeps repeating to Macy "Jesus will save you from da monsters!"

These pictures are all backwards from the order in which they took place...still working on this blogging thing! Anyway, 2 weekends ago we headed to P.C. with the girls and Jason's family for a little getaway. We had soo much fun! On the way down we stopped at Temple square to see the lights, nativity and Chirstus. Macy was in awe of it all and of course had a million questions about each thing. The next day was spent shopping (of course) at the outlets and then that night Jas and I headed to S.L. to watch the Aggies play BYU. It was probably one of the funnest games ever. Because it was on neutral ground and there were so many fans cheering for each team and the game was close the whole time! (see pictures below) The next day the whole family went to "Music and the Spoken Word" that the Tabernacle Choir puts on every Sunday. That was amazing! To listen to them sing the Christmas music live is indescribable! On Monday our friends the Masons came up and the girls had a blast playing with Emma and Cooper at the pool/hot tub. We shopped some more, ate good food and hung out at the condo. On the way home we stopped for a horse pulled wagon ride in Willard to see the lights display there and stop in on Santa. I can't wait for next year to do it all again!

Madalyn

My cute little Madalyn has been doing so good. We were so excited that she was able to come home for Thanksgiving. She had had a fever and they didn't know if she was going to be able to pull it off but the night before they released her from Primary's. She came home to a house full of Christmas lights and decor. She LOVED it all! She just kept walking around saying "OOOOOHHHH" We just love you Madalyn and we are so happy that you get to be home for the holidays!

I do this every year and every year I gain a new appreciation

7 years

Seven years ago today Jason and I were married. I didn't want the day to go by without recognizing my sweet hubby. I just want to say thank you for the past seven years. For being patient with me. For giving me Macy and Kate and for being the best daddy/prince charming to your girls. Thanks for all the big things and little things that you do that I don't always thank you for. Thank you for letting me shop more than you would like me to and thanks espcially for not complaining about it. Thanks for being you. Things have been crazy the past several months but I am glad I can always count on you as a constant. Thanks babe! love ya, Cam

my Christmas wish list...

So, we...I mean Santa is bringing the girls a cute little white table with pastel chairs for Christmas and I wanted the perfect little tea set to go with it. I found this one while searching and want it soooo bad. Look at how cute the little saucers are. Each one is different and the colors match the chairs exactly! The only thing is Jas isn't going for it because to get the whole set (plates, saucers, tea kettle sugar and cream bowls) is about $70...maybe a little steep for my 4 and 2 year old?
