Happy Thanksgiving

With how frequently I have been posting lately, I figure I may not get another chance to tell everyone Happy Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for.

Since moving closer to our families and with current circumstances being the way they are, this year has really given me the chance to think about my family. I am so grateful to have such an amazing family. Each one adds so much to my life. I have been blessed with 2 wonderful sisters that I consider some of my best friends. I am also lucky to have had 4 very protective brothers while growing up. I always felt very taken care of and looked after. I love having a big family and for the fun memories I have of them while growing up. None of us would be where we are today without my amazing parents and for the way they raised us. Thank you mom and dad! We love you.
Like all of you I have so many things to be thankful for that this post could end up being very, very long. Just a couple of big ones that I must mention: My religion, my husband, my 2 girls, my health, my country, my freedom, my friends, my home, food, and so many more. Thank you to my Heavenly Father for all he has given me. Happy Thanksgiving

I first of all have to give a shout out to my wonderful

mom for making Kate's Dorothy dress. I had good intentions of doing it, cut

out the pattern and then my cute mom decided it needed a little more of this

and a little more of that. Soon she made up her own pattern

and made the whole thing for me. Thanks mom! We love you!

I love this picture. It is such a perfect little trick-or-treating picture.
I love how Macy is peeking in the window and Kate and Keara are anxiously
waiting for their treats. Having a camera that takes horrible
night pictures actually came in handy on this one.
Glinda's dress really does look a bit magical!

Our friends had a Halloween party
that night. After dinner we headed out with the kiddos
for some trick-or-treating.

One of my favorite parts about Halloween this year was

taking the girls trick or treating downtown on Main Street

in Logan. The hustle and bustle of little ones in costumes

running here and there, the perfect fall weather, and the small

hometown feel brought back memories of when I was a

kid trick or treating. I was glad my girls got to experience that as well.

Earlier in the week we took the girls to my parents

ward party. They had fun playing games, getting their

faces painted and making crafts.

Pumpkin pizzas and carving jack-o-lanterns

The girls really got in to the whole carving pumpkins this year. In years past Macy has been grossed out by the pumpkin innards but this year they both had fun pulling out all the "stuff" and because this and choosing what they want on their pumpkin is all they can do, it made it more fun to have them more involved. (sorry for the picture overload...it was a fun night!) Diggin in!

Jason will never admit it but he get's really in to these. The last two years he has started his own after the girls have gone to bed. If he hadn't spent so much time on Macy's his would have been something different....more grandios!The finished work.

We started a new tradittion this year. The Monday before Halloween we carve pumpkins. This year we added to the night by letting the girls make their own pizzas and decorating them like carved pumpkins. They loved it and had a lot of fun making a mess, playing in their food, and being big goofs! After smearing the cheese in to the sauce

a couple of times...the finished product!

Welcome home Madalyn!

We are so excited for Madalyn to come home this week. I miss her so much. I didn't get to see her between her last round and this round. I am getting anxious for her to come home which will either be tommorow or Tuesday. Macy and Kate are excited to see her as well. Kate asked for Madalyn to "come home from the hospital" three times in her prayer tonight.

Madalyn is doing really well. So well that they are now giving her 100% of her chemo. The doctors all comment on how well she is doing and that she is very active and energetic for a child who is going through chemo. She does really well until her last day of chemo. That one is the hard one. It makes her throw up a lot and have sores all through her mouth down through her stomache to her bum. She is still such a little trooper and melts you with her big brown eyes and adorable smile. We love you Madalyn and we are so excited to see you!!
