I am still waiting to get my new camera battery charger so that I can finally get caught up on pictures and posts. Keep checking in because there will be a lot to catch up on!!

Random thoughts and my kiddos

So, I wanted to post last night after watching A.I. Can I just say that last nights season finale of American Idol was the best one ever?! The whole time I was watching (by myself because Jason is in Vegas) I kept thinking "I feel like I'm at a really good concert". I could not believe the line-up of major musicians they had. I LOVED it. It was by far the best, and then...the ending!! Even better! Who would have thought? Kris was my fav from the very beginning. In fact I almost posted before I could even remember his name about the little crush I had on him! I was so excited! I think I might go and watch it again after I post this.
Like the title says, this is a very random post but there just a few things I have to write.
Being by myself while Jas is gone has been kind of scary for me. I know I'm not really by myself becuase his parents are up on the top floor but for me who is the biggest baby anyway, living in the big dark basement in a house with many empty rooms scares me. For this reason I shut my bedroom door tight and hope that no one comes in without me hearing! Last night I went to bed at 12:01. I remember laying down on my back trying to get comfortable because I am so horribly congested right now. That is the last thing I remember. The next thing I know is that I am suddenly woken from a DEEP sleep and I'm sitting up staring at the end of my bed at an open door. Even now writing this I am freaking myself out. I do not know how it got opened or why I was suddenly woken up but I am now even more scared than before...if that's even possible! I am so glad Jas is coming home tonight!

Some funnies from the kids:
So, yesterday while taking Macy to preschool I turn on the radio and we start listening to "Pokerface" by Lady Ga Ga. I turn around to see Macy totally b-boppin' and bustin out some moves. I have to try not to laugh or she will stop. Soon after that my little 2 year-old Kate says "I want to listen to Kelly C'alarkson".
On that same trip Macy mentioned to me that she wanted to draw a picture of me but she didn't have all the right colors for my hair. She said something like "Sorry mom, your hair is just going to have to be all yellow, I don't have any crayons that are black" I guess I'm overdo for some highlights?!

Yes, the rumors are true...

Most of you have probably already heard by now but for those of you who haven't...Yes, we are moving back to Las Vegas! It's crazy how things work out. During this past year we have seen how things are definitely on the Lords time table. You never know what is around each bend in life...that's a whole other post in itself! We have felt very blessed and fortunate to have been here this past year with things that have gone on with my family. We got the offer here in Logan right before all of it happened and accepted the job offer in Vegas the day Madalyn got good news back from her MRI results. Jason also got the offer the same week we were getting ready to start paper work on building a house. It really is amazing how all of this has come about. We have loved spending this past year close to family and now look forward to going back to the life we had back in Las Vegas (which really isn't that far so you better all come visit)!
We are in the process right now of closing on a house. Jason is already down there working and has been for the past month. The girls and I will join him at the end of June (we wanted to wait for it to be really hot)! I am excited for yet another change in my life and the adventures it brings. I hope to see as many of you Utahn's before I go and you Las Vegas girls...watch out because our girls nights in Vegas are going to get even wilder-HA!

A good reminder...

If I had my child to raise all over again, I'd build self esteem first and the house later. I'd finger paint more and point the finger less. I would do less correcting and more connecting. I'd take my eyes off the watch and watch with my eyes. I'd take more hikes & fly more kites. I would stop playing serious and seriously play. I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars. I'd do more hugging and less tugging.
I don't remember where I found this but I just came across it while I was decluttering and thought it would be a good quote for all you moms and moms to be. I know I need this reminder daily. I hope all you moms out there had a wonderful Mothers day.
