wonderful news...

My sweet little neice had an MRI yesterday to see if the radiation has helped take care of spots that the chemo wasn't getting. We are so excited to announce ....dah dah dah dah (drum roll please) their is no sign of cancer in her spine and the shadow that was showing at the base of her spine and brain is significantly smaller!!!! Disney on Ice

Macy entered a coloring contest in the local newspaper and won for her age group. The prize was 4 tickets to Disney on Ice. Unfortunately, we told the girls as soon as we found out which was at the begining of Feruary. Needless to say they were very ready when it finally came! Holding the winning picture and the 4 magical tickets!!

Going green...

These are the only pictures I took on St. Patty's day. The kids were outside playing in the nice weather and I realized I had not taken any pictures! Kate was not in the mood!

I LOVE traditions! I love making new ones with my kids and I love carrying on some from when I was a kid. This year I stuck to some of the simple silly ones from when I was little and Macy absolutely LOVED it. For breakfast I made green pancakes and green eggs (I know just the thought of them makes me gag) I made the pancakes really little and called them leprechaun cakes. Macy ate about 15, no lie!

One tradition that I started on my own however that the girls also seemed to enjoy was to plant some seeds in some little pots that the girls painted. They loved it and love looking to see if the little buds have come out every morning when they water them. I think we will plant something every year on St. Patty's...my little contribution to going green.

Yesterday was a big day for me. Some of you may laugh, others will relate, either way, I tend to get a little sentimental or...emotional about things that others may not. Anyway, I registered Macy for kindergarten yesterday. Walking in to the school brought back so many memories of when I was that age. The smell of cafeteria food, elmers glue and new paper all in one. I just can't believe that my little girl is starting kindergarten! Where does the time go? I got a little emotional as we toured the school and the teacher showed us the rooms. Is she really that old already?
To end an already emotional day I went to see "Marley and Me" at the theatre with my mom. I bawled like a baby in several parts of the show. I loved the movie and highly reccomend it to anyone that has kids, or a dog. I LOVED it and could totally relate to the whole thing...except the part with the dog! You'll just have to see it!
